Tenuta Torciano, located in the heart of Tuscany, between Florence and Siena, was founded in 1720 by Bartolomeo Giachi, who left Florence and moved to San Gimignano, in the area of Ulignano. He settled on an estate that included land with an exceptional vocation for viticulture.

Recognizing the strategic importance of the territory, Bartolomeo Giachi built the first walls near the Via Francigena, the ancient pilgrimage route. The place where he laid the first stone was named “Tenuta Torciano”, as it stood on lands nourished by the ancient stream known as the “Borro di Torciano.”

Wine production has been passed down from father to son for 13 generations and, to this day, remains entirely Made in Tuscany.

The company employs more than 125 people, working across wineries, wine shops, retail stores, hotels, and warehouses, with offices also located in the United States.
